SEMAT is the first Egyptian organization to provide support to independent filmmakers and talents in Egypt and the Arab World.

The main objective of SEMAT’s project is to create a free artistic trend, which is parallel to but independent from the existing cinema institution. to open new channels for free artistic expression; encourage youths to join this field; and stress the role of audiovisual productions as a great means of expression for artists as well as for cultures.
