The Odor of Orange
A Syrian refugee who is likely to be involved in torture crimes in Syria, meets Syrian actors in a theatre in the Netherlands. The events overlap between the play they are playing and the reality.
In 2004, they graduated from Al-Mohtaraf Institute of arts/ Damascus managed by Bassem Kahar. In 2006, they graduated from Ornina Institute of art/ Damascus, managed by Naila Al-Atrash, Amal Omran, Yasser Abdel-Latif and Raafat Alzagot. They participated in several theatre workshops supervised by Tal’at Alsamawi and participated in several scenario workshops supervised by Mowafak Masood”. From 1999 until 2009 they participated in several theatrical shows for children until they created the idea of ” Room Theatre”, in French “Theater de chambre”, named by Guinness World Records as the smallest theater in the world. Their professional experience is therefore in the long term with the creation in Syria, France, Egypt and elsewhere, movies, festivals, etc.
