Samir longs for love and fights for better perspectives in a country of limited opportunities. He believes a brighter future awaits him abroad. For his new love, will he leave Morocco behind and start afresh in Europe? Samir’s inner conflict involves his whole family.
Born 1990 in Riggisberg, Switzerland. 2015 Bachelor of Arts from HSLU (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts), Video Department. 2015 Promotion Award of the zeugindesign – Foundation. Various activities as a freelance sound woman and documentary filmmaker. 2021 Master in Film, specialization Realisation Documentary Film, Directing at ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts). With her first feature length documentary “LOVE WILL COME LATER” she won the Swiss Film Prize 2022 for best graduation film.
