Human Screen Festival – Karama Tunisia 2024

The International Human Rights Film Festival, “Human Screen,” concluded its 9th edition for 2024, held from November 27 to 30, under the theme “Femicide Crimes – Security and Peace.” The festival featured screenings at the City of Culture theaters in Tunis and Bir Mcherga and Hammam Zriba in the Zaghouan Governorate, Mornag in the Ben Arous Governorate, Gabès, and Bizerte.

The festival highlighted diverse cultural approaches and fostered discussions on critical issues related to individual and collective freedoms and national liberation from modern colonial domination in its economic, cultural, informational, and military forms. As part of the program, the festival honored feminist human rights activist Ahlam Belhaj for her significant contributions to human and women’s rights. This edition presented 52 films addressing various issues aligned with the festival’s theme, offering a platform for dialogue and deep reflection on the challenges of security, peace, and women’s rights.
